Fermé-Lux is a Luxembourg family business founded in 2007 and based in Sandweiler. Specialising in the sale, installation, motorisation and repair of garage doors, gates, entrance doors, windows and sun protection, it was founded by Manuel, a former technician at the distributor Hörmann Luxembourg, and his son Luis.

Yes, our showroom is located in Sandweiler. There you can discover our different product ranges, see and touch the materials, and compare colours and finishes. Visits are by appointment.

Lead times depend on the product chosen, the configuration and factory availability. Allow on average several weeks between signing the quote and final installation, to allow for made-to-measure manufacturing. Your sales adviser will give you the exact lead times when you sign.

Yes, Luxembourg offers several financial support schemes for energy renovation, in particular through the Enoprimes programme for replacing windows, improving insulation and certain high-performance installations. Our administrative team can help you put together your subsidy application. All our products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty (Hörmann, Schüco, Adoro, etc.) as well as the Fermé-Lux installation warranty. The exact duration varies by product and brand: your sales adviser will give you the details of the applicable warranties when the quote is drawn up.

Yes, Fermé-Lux is an official Hörmann partner in Luxembourg. We install Hörmann garage doors exclusively, to benefit from the quality, reliability and manufacturer’s warranty of the European leader in the sector.

For homes: sectional doors (LPU42 in steel or solid wood), Berry up-and-over doors, RollMatic roller doors, side-sliding sectional doors and ceiling-tracked doors. For industry: industrial sectional doors, high-speed turbo spiral roller doors, slatted roller shutters, roller grilles and doors for communal car parks. With or without a built-in wicket door.

We install Hörmann ProMatic motors (high-performance entry level) and SupraMatic E / SupraMatic P (top of the range with fast opening, LED lighting and advanced safety functions). For industry: chain, shaft-mounted or direct drives depending on use. The choice depends on the door type, its size and how often it is used.

Yes, with Hörmann’s BlueSecur you control your garage door via Bluetooth using an app on your smartphone. The solutions are also compatible with home automation ecosystems such as Homee.

Hörmann offers a very wide palette: classic white, anthracite grey, black, brown, fir green, night blue and all RAL shades on request. For surfaces: smooth, stucco, M and L ribs, as well as the Decograin wood-effect range (Golden Oak, Night Oak, Dark Oak). You can see the samples at our showroom in Sandweiler.

Yes, we have a repair service. Our technicians work on the vast majority of brands (not just Hörmann) for broken springs, frayed cables, motor problems, electronic faults and any other malfunction.

Encrypted Hörmann BiSecur® remote controls, wall-mounted code keypads, fingerprint readers, safety photocells, backup batteries and solar modules for remote sites. For industry: signal lights, induction loops and detection radars.

A sliding gate is ideal when space in front of the entrance is limited, when the ground slopes or for wide openings. A swing gate is more classic, aesthetically elegant and suited to entrances with enough room for the leaves to swing. Our sales adviser will guide you according to your layout.

We install Berner aluminium gates, made to measure in a wide range of styles, colours and finishes. For motorisation, we use Hörmann systems: RotaMatic and VersaMatic for swing gates, LineaMatic and STA 500 FU for sliding gates.

Yes, we install Hörmann motors on new gates as well as existing ones, whatever the brand. The choice of motor depends on the weight of the leaves, the opening width and exposure to wind.

Several options: encrypted BiSecur® remote control (Hörmann), BlueSecur® smartphone app, wall-mounted code keypad, proximity badge, video intercom, fingerprint reader. The gate can also be integrated into your home automation system (Homee, Somfy TaHoma®).

All Hörmann motors have a manual release system to open the gate during a power cut. For sensitive sites, we offer optional backup batteries and solar modules that keep the motor running independently.

Contact our repair service. The most common faults (worn rollers on a sliding gate, seized pivots on a swing gate, oil leak on a ram) are quickly identified and repaired. We work on the vast majority of brands.

Aluminium (Adoro, Schüco) is the premium choice for modern builds: contemporary design, thermal insulation with thermal break, enhanced security. Wood (Huga) brings warmth and character, ideal for apartment entrance doors in residential buildings (security, fire resistance, acoustics). Steel (Hörmann) is dedicated to technical doors: boiler rooms, fire doors, electrical rooms, emergency exits.

All our entrance doors come with multi-point locks as standard. Depending on the level of security you want, we offer specific reinforcements: anti-pick cylinders, armour plating, certified burglar-resistant doors. State your level of requirement on the quote form.

Apartment entrance doors are interior doors designed for apartment blocks and residential buildings: floor landings, access to cellars, separation of areas. The Huga doors we install meet the acoustic insulation, fire resistance and burglar-resistance requirements expected in Luxembourg communal buildings.

Yes, we offer entrance doors for residential buildings (Adoro, Schüco) adapted to the constraints of communal access: frequent use, wear resistance, centralised locking systems, compliance with fire and accessibility standards. They can incorporate intercoms, badge or keypad access control and automatic door closers.

It is a secondary access to your home: side entrance to the garage, access to the garden, utility room, technical door. We install Schüco side doors in aluminium or uPVC, aesthetically coordinated with your main entrance door and your garage door.

Contact our repair service. The most common faults (jamming multi-point locks, misaligned hinges, a badly adjusted door closer that slams, a burnt-out electric strike) are usually sorted out in a single visit. We work on all brands.

uPVC offers excellent value for money, remarkable thermal insulation and virtually no maintenance. Aluminium allows very slim profiles, maximum glazed area and a contemporary look — it is better suited to large openings and modern builds. Both Schüco materials incorporate a thermal break for equivalent performance.

Double glazing remains the standard and already offers excellent thermal performance. Triple glazing is recommended for low-energy builds, areas highly exposed to noise or north-facing façades. Our sales adviser will guide you according to your project and Luxembourg energy requirements.

In Schüco uPVC and aluminium: side-hung, tilt-and-turn, fixed and bottom-hung windows, special shapes (arches, trapezoids, triangles). Tilt-and-slide doors (uPVC and aluminium) for balconies and terraces. Lift-and-slide doors (uPVC and aluminium) for large openings onto the garden.

Condensation between the two panes indicates that the argon gas has escaped and the insulation is compromised. There is no need to replace the whole window: we replace only the glazing like for like while keeping your existing frame. Contact our repair service.

Yes, we offer made-to-measure M&S Insektenschutz insect screens: fixed frames for windows, door screens (hinged or pivoting), roller, pleated or sliding models for large glazed openings. Discreet and coordinated with your Schüco windows and doors.

The roller shutter is the most versatile solution: thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, anti-intrusion security. The external venetian blind (also called a raffstore) is top of the range: its adjustable slats let you control the light without losing the view, ideal against summer overheating. The vertical fabric screen provides designer textile sun protection for windows and glazed openings.

Yes, we replace the manual shafts with Somfy tubular motors compatible with your existing installation. You can then control your shutters by switch, remote control or smartphone via the TaHoma box.

TaHoma centralises the control of all your sun protection. You create personalised scenarios (wake-up, leaving, evening), schedule automatic opening and closing according to sunrise and sunset, and control everything from your smartphone — at home or remotely. Compatible with Alexa and Google Home.

The wind sensor is probably faulty or badly connected. Our technicians check the anemometer, the transmitters, the receivers and the connectivity — contact us quickly to prevent the wind from damaging your awning.

Yes, in most cases. The most common fault on an electric shutter is a worn motor capacitor. We also diagnose curtains stuck in the box and replace faulty tubular motors of all brands. Fast call-out.

Our technicians work on the vast majority of brands — not just Hörmann, Schüco, Berner, Roma, Somfy or our other partners. Mechanical, electrical or electronic faults: we diagnose and repair whatever the original manufacturer.
